Another launching ceremony of PSV vessel

The next, 6th this yerar, 985 in history of REMONTOWA SHIPBUILDING S.A. launching ceremony was held on Tuesday, 6th of August 2013. This time it was multipurpose Platform Supply Vessel destined to support offshore marine industry.

The launched vessel is the sixth one from the series of eight ships which are being built for the one of the biggest American offshore Owner. Similar like the whole series, this one also is being built according to the project elaborated by MMC Ship Design & Marine Consulting Ltd from Gdynia / Poland under the supervision of Classification Society – American Bureau of Shipping.
The ship will be outfitted with Diesel – Electric propulsion in the medium voltage technology, allowing efficient, fuel-saving exploitation and low air-toxic emissions. To meet the client’s standards, the vessel will be featured an advanced steering system with DP2 Dynamic Positioning Class, FiFi-1 firefighting equipment as well as oil-spill containment collection facilities and other innovative solutions.
The deck area of 1050 m2 with 10t/m2 load capacity will allow the transfer of container freight, pipe bundles and other supplies for offshore drilling and platform operation. The vessel will be capable for not only shipping of liquids, fuels, water and loose cargo, but also for transferring dangerous cargo in under-deck containers.
After completion of production process and performing complex sea trials, the vessel will be delivered to the Owner becoming the part of the fleet of over 200 vessels operating in support of offshore oil mining and new field acquisition facilities.
The vessel will be able for use in all sea areas, regardless of weather conditions.
