First launching in this year!

On 14th of February REMONTOWA SHIPBUILDING S.A. launched the next PSV vessel from second series of the vessels built for a variety of clients. This time the vessel is designed for one of the largest ship-owners operating Offshore Support Vessels type in the North Sea.

This will be our next flagship in this basin and in the area of ​​operating ships built according to so-called “Norwegian projects” . The ship will operate as supply functions bulk shipping cargo, liquid and general cargo. She will also be equipped to fight fires and oil spills collection.
Deck area of ​​more than 800 sq. m., 4100 t cargo capacity and speed 14.3 at rated draft node ranks this unit among the largest of PSV vessels that will operate in the class of medium ships, in deep waters and harsh weather conditions of the North Sea.
This is the reason why the shape of the hull and superstructure is quite different of previously delivered on Brazylian and African market.
The vessel will be equipped with a Diesel Electric propulsion consists of four generators producing a total power of 6800 kWe. DP2 class – the ship dynamic positioning system will allow operation of the ship, even in the harshest weather conditions.
The vessel is built according to the stringent requirements of classification societies. She will be covered by the certificate “CLEAN DESIGN” and will complete classifier performance standards, which is ABS (American Bureau of Shipping). The vessel will obtain the so-called “GREEN PASSPORT” which means that potentially harmful materials to human health or the environment are not used in her construction.
After launching a new build partly outfitted with vessel systems hull, the stage equipment of devices and mechanisms also the energy network cabling and signaling, transport of goods and the accommodation part of the crew and passengers will start.
The culmination of the entire production process will startup all systems and equipment, and to carry out dock trials and tests in the yard at the quayside and sea trials, which fully confirm the parameters and vessel’s particulars according to contract and operational capabilities of the vessel.
Conceptual design and all technical documentation is provided by Polish design office MMC Ship Design & Marine Consulting Ltd., Gdynia – one of the leaders in the creation of this type of construction.

In 2012 revenue of REMONTOWA SHIPBUILDING S.A.exceeded the amount of half of milliard zlotys. It is expected that in 2013 revenues will exceed 800 million. This enables to keep more than 1.6 thousand workplaces in REMONTOWA SHIPBUILDING as well as in cooperating companies.
