Launching of the multipurpose Platform Supply Vessel “SABLE” took place in REMONTOWA SHIPBUILDING S.A. on 15th of October 2012. The vessel is built for the one of the American potentate in offshore industry.
We have pleasure to cooperate with this Owner for five years – two years ago, two multipurpose AHTS vessels were delivered to him. The vessels are used to handling the anchors, towing and carriage of dry, liquid and heavy cargoes necessary to serve drilling platforms.
The satisfaction with the previous cooperation results with next orders for the construction of new six modern, supplying vessels serving offshore industry called PSV.
The launched vessel is the third one from the series. She will be equipped with Diesel – Electric power system. Such power system enables most cost efficient exploitation, reduction of fuel consumption and lower emission of NOx and SOx to the atmosphere.
The vessel will be able to fulfill the general demands of the offshore industry as carriage of liquid mud, dry bulk, and special products like methanol, pipes and other general cargo on open deck.
The vessel will be one of the biggest in her class.
The vessel is being built under supervision of Classification Society – American Bureau of Shipping according to the project elaborated by MMC Ship Design & Marine Consulting Ltd from Gdynia / Poland.
Till the end of the current year Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A. is going to deliver the next three completely equipped vessels. There are two gas powered
ro–pax ferries and the one supply vessel for offshore industry. It is expected that realization of these contracts will cause the doubling of incomes – comparing with 2011. Such a busy work schedule as well as new contracts allow for increasing of employment in Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A..
At present , nearly 1,5 thousands persons are employed in Remontowa Shipbuilding every day.
